LEARNING
The TPVAC is not only an extension of the existing veterinary and aquaculture research and teaching facility, it houses also an Animal Clinic as one of the four learning enterprises at the School of Applied Science.
The four storey building sits on a compact site once occupied by a greenhouse. It is designed around a central round atrium which connects on ground level to the existing facility via a sheltered link. Despite its small footprint, we managed to incorporate a scattering of student-centric social/study spaces overlooking the atrium. The use of strong vibrant accent colours serves to enliven the space.
