Located in the midst of a business park facility filled with anonymous looking office buildings, the proposed development is designed to project the sense of a high-technology, well-crafted building.
The canted look of the building distinguishes itself from the anonymous non-descript buildings in the area. Yet, the canting is not a superficial expression but grounded in urban and environmental response. The northwest and southwest facades taper towards the ground in an attempt to shade from the hot western sun. It is a simple, subtle and understated approach of creating an iconic building without compromising its primary functions. Two double-volume skygardens are provided such that all office levels have either a physical or visual connection to the green. A landscaped, semi-sheltered roof terrace is provided for private outdoor events. These attractive rest areas are designed to be cooled by multi-tiered planting and to provide dappled shade for comfortable inhabitation.
